Halfway between the winter solstice and the Spring equinox ~ 31st Jan – 1st Feb shines Imbolc, marking the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring.
Imbolc is the perfect time
for spring cleaning and renewal
At Imbolc we can use the seasonal energies to let go of all that no longer serves us.
This makes room for the new that’s ready to be birthed and appear.
Knowing this is right for us we can peacefully and joyfully welcome these new experiences into our lives.

Hello there!
This is a lovely blog post and it was wonderful to see it – thank you for sending it out there. I wonder if you know who said this quote you included – I absolutely love it and feel the need to post it on my wall (actual wall above my desk, and probably my Facebook wall too)
“The universe does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds.”
Thank you!

Thank you, it was fun to do
I’m not sure where that quote comes from (although it does seem familiar). I’ll try and find out for you – the almighty Google doesn’t know, but maybe my other readers could help?…

Isn’t that one of the 14th DL’s quotes?
I’m suprised to see it here Jas.

The word solstice is derived from an ancient Latin word meaning, “stop,” or “stand still.” Ancient beliefs held that on winter solstice, the longest night of the year, the sun and moon stopped in their flight across the sky.

Thanks Idebenone, it’s interesting how the ancients interpreted the skies, isn’t it.
